Join the West Tennessee Chapter of the Tennessee Urban Forestry Council and the Memphis Botanic Garden for an opportunity to learn about trees and issues facing the urban tree canopy. This course is designed for the general public, municipal employees, and members of neighborhood associations, tree boards, garden clubs, and plant societies. Lectures and fieldwork will cover tree biology, ID and selection, risk management, diagnostics, site analysis, tree inventory, construction protection, and the role of federal, state, and local agencies.
Classes start at the Memphis Botanic Garden on Wednesday, September 13 from 9am-1pm & continue each Wednesday until October 11 (5 sessions).
