As we begin a new year, we’re excited to announce an important change.
After being at the Memphis Botanic Garden for many years,
Memphis Horticulture will begin meeting at the Dixon Gallery and Gardens this month.
We appreciate the support given throughout the years by the Memphis Botanic Garden staff and
look forward to continued collaboration on events and programs. 

Join us for our first meeting of the year as Dale Skaggs, Director of Horticulture, welcomes us to the Dixon. Dale will discuss the creation and evolution of the Dixon gardens, the significant contribution the Dixon has made to Memphis horticulture, and plans throughout the upcoming year to celebrate its 50th anniversary.  Memphis Horticulture also has a milestone anniversary this month – our first meeting was January 6, 1981. So join us on January 6, 2026 to help us celebrate our 25th year!

Dale’s presentation will be held in the Winegardner Auditorium at the Dixon Gallery and Gardens at 6:00 p.m. It’s free for Memphis Horticulture members, but guests are asked to make a $5 donation at the door. Join us at 5:30 p.m. for refreshments and visiting with friends. We always appreciate contributions to the refreshment table.
