In her presentation at the Dixon Gallery & Gardens, Jenny will offer an insider’s view into this year’s Philadelphia Flower Show and discuss her book, Glorious Shade, which celebrates the benefits and beauty of shade gardening.

Jenny is a renowned gardener, educator, historian, and author.  She is Senior Director of the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society’s public garden and garden center, Meadowbrook Farm, and has chaired a variety of Philadelphia Flower Show committees.

Jenny is also an avid, hands-on gardener who has gardened in both her native England and the United States. Thousands across the country have visited her own garden, Northview, a 4.5 acre Victorian property that contains 31 distinct garden spaces, including a shade garden, moss garden, and a stumpery. Her gardens have been featured on the PBS series The Victory Garden, in the Wall Street Journal, the Philadelphia Inquirer, Green Scene magazine, and the Pennsylvania Gardener.
