Lichterman Annual Volunteer Plant Sale

Beautify your yard, go green, learn something new and have fun! Come peruse an extensive selection of native and wildlife friendly plants grown onsite at Lichterman Nature Center for this one-of-a-kind sale!

  • Free admission and parking
  • Thousands of native, wildlife-friendly and/or edible plants
  • Over 200 different plant varieties grown by Lichterman Volunteers
  • Best selection all day Friday and Saturday morning
  • Even lower prices Saturday afternoon

Half Price Sale – Saturday, May 4, 2 – 4pm

Remaining native, wildlife-friendly, heirloom plants and other plants will be offered at ½ regular price.

The Plant Sale is two weeks later this year!  We’re taking advantage of the extra time to add some warm weather loving & lesser known lovelies:

Perennials for Pollinators:  Tennessee Cone-flower, Purple Cone-flower, Stoke’s aster , Eastern Bluestar, Copper Iris, Blue False Indigo, Butterfly Milkweed, Swamp Milkweed, Common Milkweed, Tropical Milkweed, and many more!

Native Shrubs and Trees for Wildlife:  Oakleaf Hydrangea, Savannah Holly,  Golden St. John’s Wort, Black Cherry, American Persimmon and more!

Salvias:  Hot Lips Salvia, Mexican Bush Sage, Pineapple Sage, and many more!

Culinary Herbs:  Common Sage, Rosemary, Lemongrass, Cardamom and more!

Vegetables:  ‘Moon and Stars’ Watermelon, ‘Beauregard’ Sweet Potato, ‘Clemson Spineless’ Okra, plus a variety of tomatoes and more!

Also new this year: garden tool sharpening!
