Join us as Julie Lewter and Susan Cook Ragsdale take us on the road to see their favorite hostas!

Susan Ragsdale has been raising hostas in Petersburg, TN for almost 10 years. Her Critterhaven Gardens 1-acre property is now home to almost 1,000 different varieties of hosta and other perennial plants.

Julie Lewter loves all things green and gardening. Her fascination with hostas began 43 years ago with a gifted plant from  her new mother in law of a small plant later identified as Hosta undulata “Univittata” with the challenge of “lets see if you can grow something.”  Who knew such a love of plants could stem from a small gifted plant?

Susan and Julie’s presentation will be held in the Winegardner Auditorium at the Dixon Gallery and Gardens at 6:00 p.m. It’s free for Memphis Horticulture members, but guests are asked to make a $5 donation at the door. Join us at 5:30 p.m. for refreshments and visiting with friends. We always appreciate contributions to the refreshment table.
